As a retired LA county sheriff, Ernie Vanderpoorten spends his much earned free time on the golf course, with a cigar in hand. He tried all the gadgets out there - but they'd fall off the cart, get lost, would tear his cigar apart. He decided to take matters in his own hands and created the C-gar Holder in his garage!

It got the attention of Scott Ragano, his son's father-in-law, who thought it was a great invention. They started sharing the prototype at a golfing tournament and other golfers shared the same sentiment.

With that, the C-gar Holder was born!
